A Round up of Quartz Composer quickies: Make Quartz Composer files with PlistPro; A great tutorial from Momo the Monster and Eskatonia Visuals performing at Synergy Project, SEOne London this Friday (Tomorrow)
Also the Quartonian feed is now active on Feedburner. Please change your subscription to the new link so I can keep track of subscribers. I aim to cover all relevant news and tricks for anyone developing with Quartz Composer as well as covering my own development on Quartonian.
SteamSHIFT has posted some very useful information on ripping apart Quartz Composer setup files which are just Binary XML. This raises the possibility of another program dynamically constructing QC compositions on the fly. Imagine a program with a more traditional timeline and 3d interface that is just a front end to make compositions using the QC engine. I’m sure it’s only a matter of time until someone does this.
Momo the Monster has posted a tutorial on using the hidden ‘replicate in time’ patch, including how to activate the the hidden patches in Quartz Composer. Great work.
I’m doing a gig at short notice and will be helping out Inside Us All visuals at Synergy Project, SEOne, London Bridge this Friday 3rd Feb. I’ll be jamming with some new Quartz Compositions on whatever monster screen installation that Inside-Us-All comes up with. Synergy Project is London’s best indoor party, four rooms of music plus info from NGO’s, chilout, organic food and more. Come on down if you’re a Londoner.
