SubscribeNot directly related but I wanted to highlight this project which I think is really innovative. Director and Writer Michela Ledwidge is creating the worlds first remixable short film. Now in the post production stage, Sanctuary is a an ecological sci fi thriller in which all the assets (3d files, clips, textures) are provided with the film and people (VJ’s, filmmakers, graphic artists etc) are encouraged to take and reuse the content. Recently, opposition from the actors union in Australia tried to shut this project down, a sure sign that she’s rocking the boat. Take a look at ModFilms for all the details.
